1. Introduction & Core Philosophy
Leap is a Behavioral Operating Systemdesigned to help people bridge the gap between inspiration and implementation. You weren't meant to passively stockpile information—you were meant to act on what inspires you.
Taking meaningful action in your life requires honesty, vulnerability, and quiet reflection. That state cannot exist when an application feels like a broadcast studio or an advertising engine.
Leap is funded entirely through transparent subscriptions. We do not sell your personal data. We do not host third-party advertisements. We do not track you across apps or websites. Every piece of information you share with Leap exists strictly to help you make your daily progress.
2. Information We Collect & Why We Need It
We only collect data that is directly necessary to deliver Leap’s features and keep your account secure. Here is what we collect, why we need it, and how it is used:
Account & Contact Information
- What we collect: Your name and email address when you sign up using Sign in with Apple or email verification.
- Why we need it: To create and authenticate your account, secure your profile, recognize you across device reinstalls, and send critical transactional notices (such as account verification or subscription receipts).
- How it is used: Strictly for identity verification and account management. We will never add you to third-party marketing lists.
User-Generated Content, Reflections & Photo Evidence
- Notes & Reflections: The written thoughts, self-reflections, and answers you record when completing your daily leaps.
- Photo Evidence: Photos you take with your device camera or choose from your photo library to visually record that you completed a leap. These images are stored in secure cloud storage and are private to your account.
- Saved Ideas & Links: External links or video URLs (from platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or X) that you choose to import, along with your self-defined goals, focus areas, and challenges.
- Why we need it: This content is the heartbeat of your personal journey. Leap uses it to generate personalized daily action items and help you visualize your growth over time.
Purchases & Subscription Information
- What we collect: Your active membership tier (Free vs. Pro) and anonymous transaction identifiers provided by Apple and RevenueCat.
- What we NEVER collect: Leap never accesses, collects, or stores your credit card number, debit card number, bank account details, or billing address.
- How billing works: All transactions and recurring subscriptions are processed natively and securely by Apple through the App Store.
Device Information & Notification Tokens
- What we collect: Your device operating system (iOS version) and device notification push token.
- Why we need it: To schedule and reliably deliver your Daily Leap reminder at the exact time you have selected in your settings. You can revoke push notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
Product Interactions & Diagnostic Logs
- What we collect: Anonymized interaction events (such as viewing a screen or completing a leap step) and technical error logs if the app encounters an unexpected network or application failure.
- Why we need it: To diagnose software crashes, prevent technical regressions, and understand how features are performing so we can make Leap faster and more intuitive.
- Your control: You can opt out of anonymous analytics sharing directly in the app at any time via
Settings → Privacy → Share Analytics.
3. How We Use Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Leap uses artificial intelligence to distill inspiration into small, tangible, daily actions. We believe AI should be a private collaborator, not an eavesdropper.
Zero Model Training on Your Personal Data
We do not use your private reflections, personal journal entries, photo evidence, or saved goals to train public, proprietary, or third-party AI models.
When you submit a note or import a public video link, the content is processed in real time by our AI partners (such as Google Gemini and Supadata) solely to generate the specific leap, mindset shift, or summary you requested. Once processed, the transient prompt data is discarded and is not retained or absorbed into foundation training sets.
4. Trusted Partners & Subprocessors
Like most modern applications, Leap partners with specialized infrastructure providers to handle hosting, secure billing, and push notifications. Each partner is bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.

5. Tracking & Advertising Disclosures
The short answer is: No, we do not track you.
- No Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA): Leap does not request or collect Apple’s Advertising Identifier.
- No Cross-App Tracking: We never track your activity across other applications or websites owned by other companies.
- No Data Brokers: We never sell, license, rent, or disclose your personal data to data brokers, ad exchanges, or information aggregators.
- No Third-Party Ad Networks: Leap contains zero advertising banners, interstitial video ads, or sponsored tracking scripts.
6. Your Rights & In-App Controls
We put you in direct control of your personal information, in strict compliance with the Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Section 5.1.1), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA:
Permanent Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your Leap account and all associated data directly within the app at any time:
Upon confirmation, your profile records, reflections, photo evidence, and saved leaps are permanently purged from our active databases.
Analytics Sharing Opt-Out
You can choose whether or not to share anonymous diagnostic interaction events with us:
Toggling this setting immediately stops sending product usage events to our analytics subprocessor.
Additional Legal Rights (GDPR / CCPA / Global Standards)
- Right to Access & Portability: You can request a copy of the personal information Leap holds about you in an easily readable format.
- Right to Rectification: You can edit or update your name and profile information directly within the app at any time.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never deny services, charge different prices, or provide a lower quality of service if you exercise your privacy rights.
7. Data Security & Retention
We implement industry-standard technical safeguards to ensure that your private thoughts remain private:
Encryption in Transit & Rest
All data sent between your device and Leap’s servers is encrypted using modern TLS (HTTPS). Media files and database records are encrypted at rest.
Strict Tenant Isolation
Our database enforces strict user-level access controls. Users can only ever access their own personal records, reflections, and images.
Retention Policy: We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is erased promptly from our production systems. Backups are automatically overwritten on a routine rolling schedule.
8. Children’s Privacy
Leap is designed for adults and thoughtful young professionals seeking intentional personal growth.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13 years of age (or under 16 in the European Economic Area / UK). If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under the relevant age without parental consent, we will promptly delete that information.
